  • Paid AcctPayable is not disappearing from Bills to Pay

I have an old Account Payable from previous closed year end that was paid, however, it's not disappearing from the list of Bills to Pay.

I've determined that this bill had both a charge and a credit within it. There was no tax on the expense portion, but the refund portion had GST rebated. Thus the GST is a credit on the bill, which even though the bill was paid - it is not disappearing from the list of Bills to Pay. It's not showing up on the Report of again receivables.

I cannot simply correct out the invoice because it's from a closed year end.

Has anyone encountered this and know how to fix it? I just need to get it out of my list of bills to pay.

    Thanks!!!

I can't say as this is the solution but I had a similar thing once. It turned out to be a broken link between the bill and the payment. Somehow the payment was put to account and was not applied to the bill. Once I applied it the bill left the list of bills to pay.
