Customer Balance Report
When I print a Customer Balance Summary it lists every customer I have ever had..... including zero balance customers and inactive customers. Is there a way to only list active customers or customers with an actual balance? Thanks.

Run the report, go to Modify Report button, click on Adcanced and chose options you want.

Just need current customers
I'm having the same problem. I can not build a report without having really old customers come up on the report. Any suggestions?:

Goto Modify and then click the Advanced button. Click the Non-zero option for 'Display Rows' and 'Display Columns'.

Don't have those options
Hi,
Thanks for the response, but, under modify, advanced my only options are "All or In Use" and "Current or Report Date". Any other suggestions? Thanks again. |

If you are running a Detail report you will not have the option for the "Display Rows" or "Display Columns" that have the option for "Non Zero".
The DETAIL type report will display all transactions for the period for the customer/vendor even if their total balance is 0.00 (fully paid).

Reply to question: Customer Balance Report
Hi,
I think you should go to "Modify Report" from the "Customer Balance Report" form. Then, click on the Advanced command button. From there, you can select advanced options such as "display row" with non-zero; "display column" with non-zero. Courtney Nguyen |

Thanks for getting back to me. I tried that but it doesn't bring up the detail, just the summary. Very odd. Thanks again.

I do not think we ask, so what version of QuickBooks are you using.
Example: Windows US version QuickBooks 2010

As Joe said, you are not getting the options the others are because you are looking at the Customer Balance Detail. To get the options under the Advanced button you have to be running the Customer Balance Summary.
