Angry scheduled backup problems after migration

I recently migrated quickbooks pro 2003 to a new windows xp machine (single user mode) by first transfering files and settings and then installing the original software from CD. Every thing migrated ok except I can't get a scheduled backup to work. I am scheduleing it to backup to a 750MB zip disk. I tried to back it up to the hard drive but that doesn't work either, NOTHING IS BEING BACKED UP. I've gone back to the old computer and tried it there and it DOES work as long as I exit the application before the backup is scheduled to backup. I CAN manually back it up to the zip disk. I am a new user with quickbooks and I don't know if I am suppose to get updates or patches from quickbooks.com to solve this. I've spent many hours trying to figure this out, is there someone out there that can help me please!

Make sure you update your QB2003 to the latest release R8. It was release issue what was preventing scheduling back ups to some media. Please let me know if that took care of the problem.
