1099-Misc

I have QB Pro 2003.

Our company wants to file 1099s on several different vendors. When "linking" the 1099 category to the account number, is it really limited to the accounts I can use?

I want to charge plumbing subcontractor to one account related to job cost, our lawn man to another related to building maintenance, and the local mechanic to vehicle repairs and maintenance (indirect job cost).

I've read Help repeatedly - am I missing something? Thanks, Nancy, Sebring FL

Yep, you missed it. On the Preferences for 1099s, when you click on the down arrow for Line 7, at the very top, click on Selected Accounts and another list will pop up that allows you to select any accounts you want instead of just one account.
