I need to find a way to provide some level of security for the PC. Employees just do not exit QuickBooks and another employee needing to add soemthing just uses the PC that is close.
Have set up all of the names of the employees and have put a password on each of them. The ideal situation would be after no activity after a time period, QucikBooks will exit. |

Nothing is secure on a PC. Not really, anyway.
QB doesn't have the auto-logout. You have to train your employees to log out if you want them to use their logins.

You need to get tough. My main client would regard failure to observe computer security as a disciplinary matter, and I believe he's right. Give everybody notice that you'll remove their access rights if you find an unattended PC with their username logged in. You could at least set screensavers with passwords on all PCs. If you are responsible for security, you need the authority to enforce it.

depending on what version of windows you are using you can set
it to go to a screen saver that requires a password to reopen the screen before continuing |
