Installation Issue

I have QB Pro 2010. I have windows 7 64 bit. I bought a new copy of QB 2012. I am trying to install it. It runs and says it is copying files but never finishes and eventually crashes my computer. I tried turning everything off - virus software, etc. but still the same.
