Page numbers not printing fully on invoices

I noticed this some time ago but just am getting around to addressing the problem. At the bottom of my two or more page invoices what prints are two partial dots/dashes instead of the word “page” and the page number. I have the “print pages on forms with more than 2 pages” box checked. I am printing invoices with two or more pages. I see the page number in the print preview in the “manage templates” screen but it won’t print.

I’ve tried all the available invoice templates and I have the same issue with all of them. I have also created a copy of our usual template and played around with it. I adjusted the top and bottom margins – first making them smaller then making them larger (from 0 to 2 inches). I have gone into the layout designer and moved all of the columns up leaving massive room at the bottom of the invoice and I managed to move the dot/dashes up towards the middle of the page (so I know they are not being cut off) but the page numbers still won’t print.

If you have any ideas of what to try next I surely will appreciate it.

Thanks!
Jen

Do the page numbers show if you print to PDF using a converter like Cute
PDF Writer?
On the Layout designer when you click Margins button, what are the margins set to? Mine are: Top=.50 Left=.50 Right=.50 Bottom=.83

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the quick response. I won't be back in the office again until Wednesday so I can try your margin setting and the cute pdf app then. Although I did try a large variety of margin settings and it made no difference whatsoever.

OK. It just sounds like a print driver issue and using the CutePDF is a quick way to check that out.

Hi Joe,

Well the page numbers show up when I print using the cute pdf writer. When you get the chance can you tell me what that means?

Thanks so much,

Jen
