Question making "Class" a Mandatory Entry?

Is it possible........?

I have 1 x Company set up with 4 x Classes and I would like to know if somewhere I can ensure that the Class Field is completed by making this field mandatory?

I realise that I can run a report after-the-event to capture transactions with nothing in the Class field, but I was hoping to be pro-active here.

Your input greatly appreciated

In 2003 for the US you can have it prompt you if you don't fill in a class. Go to Edit, Preferences, Accounting and you'll find it there. In previous versions you could not.

Thanks for that Nancy.

I'm running Quickbooks 2002 and that doesn't seem to be an option

This is all I have - I was thinking that there must be a way though?

Sorry, not in 2002. I think you are stuck with just checking your report for stuff that isn't classed.
