QB won't install after system restore. . .
Restored an HP, XP Home - QB won't reinstall - QB support stayed online an hour of so yesterday to no avail. Now we have dozens of things listed in the add/remove programs list that was not there, that don't have an option to remove. Anybody ever got a bum rap w/QB support (Philippines...)? I think the error message was 1304, or 4304... Thanks

do a Gogle search for Error 1304. You should see a link to Microsoft.PCError.info for a download to fix the error.

Having rubbish in Add/Remove programs is something that needs sorting, whether or not you manage to install QB. I'm afraid I'd go back to the PC rebuild and start again. Don't attempt to install any applications until you have a clean, fully updated, firewalled and virus/malware protected, registry-cleaned, defragged and disk-imaged PC to start from.
