Lightbulb W-2 & State Unemployment Mag Media

Anyone out there agree that QuickBooks needs to develop a Magnetic Media Module for reporting W-2's to the S.S.A. and also for reporting State Unemployment taxes, as many states will soon require mag media. I am certain in my mind that they dont market it simply because it would cut down on the number of companies utilizing their payroll services, but I cant help but believe they stand to make as much money from the charges for updating these modules each year Currently I rekey all of my W-2's into a stand alone software package each year for the W-2 Mag media and each quarter I key info into excel.

Barabra,

If you go on w21099.com, you will find program that will import w2 Data in to there program & make Mag.Media file. once you finish with qbooks. Go to print w-2 & send to file & simple go to program & import. I used last year. You can get benefit to print
CopyB, 1,2, c & D on one page so you do not go 6 times to print on different copy. It cost only $69 to $99 depend on option. You can also print on plain paper. Also few more add on for Unemployment Taxes. Try to go Qtools.com. They are having Plugging for few state, It cost only $19. It is very good program.

Good luck. Any question you can email to Xcds@aol.com
