Desktop view preferences won't save

Hello,
I use QB pro 2009. Recently whenever I open QB the two windows that pop up are not fully expanded. I have gone to the desktop preferences sections and selected save current desktop, but when I check again, it has changed to keep previously saved desktop. So whenever I open QB I still get the unexpanded windows. What is going on?

With your desktop displaying how you want it, go back into the "Preferences" for the desktop & make sure you have "Save when closing company" selected NOT "Save current desktop". If you've had the latter selected, when it opened incorrectly the first time, QB will have saved THAT preference as it was "current" & therefore will have continued to open like that.
Also, select the "One window" as opposed to "Multiple windows" to see the expanded screens
