fix the Vaccation pay

I am somehow new here hopefully i am in a right place for asking my question.

I have a QB pro and I am trying to have the Vaccation pay on a fix hourly pay for one of my employees. it just accept the percentage but he is on a fix salary and nothing to do with the hours and his vaccation pay also need to be fixed on a something like $20/hr. but I cannot make it. can someone help me what is wrong with this story?!

The rate should be set up on the employee's record not on the item itself.
  • Go to the "Ëmployee Centre", click on the "Ëmployees" tab, then click on the employee who's rate you want to set up.
  • Next, click on the "Edit Employee" button (RHS, near top of that window).
  • "Change Tabs" to the "Payroll & Compensation Info" tab.
  • In the "Ëarnings" box, select the "Hourly Pay" or "Salary" payroll item & type in the relevant hourly or annual amount you want to set in the "Rate" column.
  • Click on "OK" to save the info.
