Credit card i use applies to?

The credit card that i use is in the chart of accounts therefore it shows up on the home page under account balances they are also a vendor:
-i enter the charges for the credit card and the account balance reflects that.
-so at the end of the month when i get the statement i reconcile the credit card account.
-it asks me if i want to enter a bill so i tell it yes.
-when it enters the bill it shows in the account balance and on the vendor side.
***here is my problem.... When the bill is entered, it brings the account balance down so it looks like i already paid it on the home screen.
- is there any way to not effect the account balance until the bill is actually paid?
-if i need to explain myself more please let me know.
Thank you so much for any input

Insted of entering a bill at teh end of reconcile, just X out. When you pay on the CC use Write Check not a bill. This will then affect the CC account when you pay on it.

Thank you I did that last month and it worked but I almost forgot to pay the bill because it wasn't in the pay bills screen.

Any other ideas that involve keeping the bill written?

thank you again.

When you enter a bill from the CC reconcile, that moves that amoun t from the CC account balance to AP account balance.
You can try and memorize a check to the CC Company and set the memoriz list to Remind you Monthly. All you would then have to do is change the amount on the check.

The only way I can do that is if the Reminders only popped up on my computer. Unfortunately I can't get reminders for only my computer they pop up on everyone's computer. I guess I'm just going to have to deal with it.
thanks though.
