where to find total inventory amounts

I have all my inventory in the quickbooks 99. I can not find the total amount of ALL the inventory. I only find the total of each item and I do not want to add all this on my adding machine.

go to reports then inventory reports and click inventory valuation summary. The items are totaled there but the different categories you have entered.
