Upgrade

I have QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions, Professional Services Edition 2005. I am getting a pop-up when emailing bill saying that email will no longer be supported by QuickBooks on May 31st, you must upgrade to 2008. What is the 2008 edition I can upgrade to? I was told by my accountant that Pro 2008 will not upgrade because I have Enterprise Solutions and the next upgrade will cost $3000!!!!

Can I upgrade to Pro and loose other features I may not need?

Yuo cannot upgrade the Enterprise version to any versions except Enterprise. The database is differant than Pro/Premier and they cannot understand the Enterprise file. Sorry

You can "downgrade" a file using Karl Irvin's data transfer utility, available at www.q2q.us.

Also, if you're not using any of QB's additional features like online banking, emailing invoices and payroll, you don't HAVE to upgrade. You can still get support from QB ProAdvisors.

I email over 100 invoices each month so the email feature is important. Will Pro 2008 import anything from Enterprise such as just the vendor list, Items and Customers?

Thanks for the q2q, I will take a look at it.

I believe the only thing it won't transfer is payroll checks. There is a separate utility to transfer payroll checks as "regular" checks if that's an issue.
