discrepancy with bank statement and checkbook balances
The bank statements have balanced each month since July 2007. However, my Quickbooks checking balance is significantly different. Any ideas? Also, I'm new to non-profit QB.........

Look at your bank reconciliation report for uncleared checks and deposits. Are there any old ones there that shouldn't be in QB?
It's perfectly normal for the register balance to not match the bank balance due to uncleared transactions.
