Open Invoice Report Won't Sort

I am losing my mind trying to sort the Reports: Customer:Open Invoices Report

We are job number driven and even if a job was started in 2005 (example job number #05009) but change orders are given for the same job then they become(ex: 05009.1, 05009.2) no matter what year it is.

Well the report used to go in order, job #02029 was shown first and job number #07019 was shown last...but jobs are bouncing all over the place now, new ones entered always go straight to the top of the report so it reads:

07004.4
07004.3
07018
07017.2
04022A
06004.1
07004.2
03011A

Used to the report would read in a nice neat order:
03011A
04022A
06004.1
07004.2
07004.3
07004.4
07017.2

No matter when I entered a new job number it would fall in place numerically in the list....I have tried sorting by name and it just won't work!!!

Now when I worked for this company I was using the 2002 Pro version and after I left my replacement decided to upgrade to QB Pro 2007 so maybe its an issue that 2007 won't sort it anymore?? I've been called back in to help b/c so many things got off center and way out of control but this bouncing around with job numbers makes calling on collections harder since they aren't all together anymore. Plus if I'm asked how much Job #07004 (and all of its subacocunts) might owe, its not even in a numerical order to find easily!

I'm going crazy! Someone HELP! Please

Try resorting the Customer list. Open ther Customer:job list and click the Customer button then resort. This will place the list back to standard sort.

Same problem here. It seems that any new customers added this year and some of 2009 are now at the top of the list in the Open Invoice report. Definitely not in alphabetical order anymore. Old customers are still in alpha order, but start half way down the page. New customers at top of page are not in alpha order either; just helter skelter.
Customer center list of customers is still alpha, but job numbers are not numerical order anymore. Hoping to hear a solution.

Open Invoices Report won't sort

In Quick Books Enterprise Solutions 9.0. You must go to the customer center then go to the very top tool bar and click view. Then scroll down and click re-sort list. Go into your report center button click on Open invoices report you will see that your customers are now in order.

Hope this helps and works for you.
