Question Default Company

I recently added a second company and would like it to be the primary company to open when we open QuickBooks. However, the original company data file always opens up. How do I set the new company to be the default so that when I start up QBs it will open?

When QB starts, it will open the last company open or used on that PC.

Unhappy Doesn't work the way it should!!!

That's what I expected it to do, but it doesn't. It always opens up Company #1 even though we shut it down while in Company #2. Is there a way around this???

Are you perhaps opening QB from a shortcut that is actually a link to the old company file?

Thanks, that did it... I was opening QBs from a shortcut to Company #1.
