This payment cannot be created as EMPLOYEE NAME already has a payment for a laterdate

Hi all,

I am trying to pay an employee using the Pay Employees feature. I select the employee's name, set the date range correctly and when i enter/adjust details and go to finalise the payment in QB I get this error:

"This payment cannot be created as EMPLOYEE NAME already has a payment for a laterdate"

Now, I go and look at the report that shows all payment details for that employee, and guess what. There is NO payment for a date later than that. To be sure there is no one day crossover etc, I've gone and deleted the employee's last payment to be sure and STILL get it...

What can I do?!

Any advice appreciated.

Before anything else, do a verify on your data. If there is a problem, do a re-build of the data. Often when you get funny problems it is because the data has lost integrity.

turns out i was sent the new 06/07 update the very next day (good timing quicken foldk). i installed it and it then worked. Must have cleared the pipes or fixed a bug.

Either way , not sure how it was fixed, but the upgrade did it (very VERY good timing, I'd hate to think if that upgrade didn't turn up)
