Question on using Non-profit edition
Hello,
I currently use QB Pro 2006 for a real estate investment/property management business. I am in the process of setting up a 501(c)(3) and want to use QuickBooks also. I have two questions. This will be a low volume charity cash wise (perhaps $10-20K/year). Is it worth upgrading to the Premier edition so that I can have access to the non-profit features? If I do upgrade, how will that affect my existing, for profit, data file? Many thanks in advance for any assistance that anyone can offer.

There's no reason to upgrade to the non-profit version. much of the difference is simply terminology: ie listing donors, instead of customers.

No, the nonprofit edition does not change the terminology - it should (for the extra price) Your donors are customers, your net asset accounts are Net Profits on reports, etc.
