remove old uncleared items from bank rec

How do you remove old uncleared items from the bank rec without affecting balances from previous reconciliations.

The Ending Balance that appears in the bank Reconcilement is a total of all the "cleared" transactions. The Outstanding checks and deposits are not included in the "cleared" balance.
If it's from the currect tax year, just go to Edit, Void Check. If it's from a prior tax year, DO NOT do that. Make a Journal Entry dated in the current period to Debit the checking account for the amount. Put Void Ch# ?? in the Memo area and the amount. Credit the Miscellaneous Income account because anything that was expensed in a prior year becomes Miscellaneous Income in the current tax year.
Then when you do your Reconcilement, you will see those entries up in the Deposits. Check them off and the old checks also to clear them out.
