QB Pro 2005 for Mac -password

Can anyone help with the problem in the Mac version with passwords. I would like someone to be able to have access to the bank accounts but not have access to the reports such as financial statements.
Using the password for owners or data entry means you either have access to all or not to bank and reports.
Any one been able to get around this problem, I spent 1 1/2 hours today with the help desk and they tell me it is not a problem in the PC version only the Mac.
