Payback payroll taxes

If you deduct a payroll tax from an employee and then figure out you shouldn't have, what is the best way of paying the employee back. We are in the process of switching from our accounting firm handling our payroll over to being done in house. They did this, but I can't figure out how to pay it back and still have their W2s right.

We can't tell you without more detail as to what kind of tax and why you're wanting to reverse it.
