Hi,
I am Naren, currently i am using QB pro 2004. I have one problem while transferring the currency symbols like AUD$, USD$, CHF are transfered to QB with out any problem, but other than these symbols yan (some thing like "Y with two horizontal lines on Y") are not transfered to QB. I don't why it is happening to me. Is there any settings for currency in Customer or QB. Any suggestions on this is apriciated. Thanks and regards naren |

Hi Naren
Isn't this a non Quickbooks problem but to do with setting up your keyboard & Windows to produce the symbol. For example in the UK the Euro symbol is on the keyboard & generated by using Ctrl Alt 4 to produce €.

I'm not clear exactly what your problem is. Perhaps you could elaborate. For example, are you using multicurrency?
If it is merely a question of generating the ¥ symbol, you can do so by holding down Alt and entering 0165 of the numeric keyboard. If you use the symbol a lot, you could write a macro triggered by a hotkey to generate the symbol more easily. Ken |
