download templates

I want to download report templates within Quickbooks Pro 2004. I select Lists, Templates, Download Templates.

When I attempt the download, it asks me if I want to open or save. I select open as per the instructions on the intuit website. It then asks me what program to use to open the .QBR file.

I cannot seem to get the template open when I select quickbooks. Instead I get a message that says that I am about to close my quickbooks file and open another company called ...templatename. Any suggestions?
