No company open question?

I have been using Quickbooks for the past 8 years, this is the first time this has happened.

When I started Quickbooks the other day, instead of opening my company automatically. I had the NO COMPANY OPEN window come up. I had to click on the the company I wanted to open. It opened no problem.

I closed the program, and tried to reopen quickbooks, the same screen came up.

Anyone have any ideas why the program is closing my company before shutting down?

Any help would be appreciated.
