Receive Items and Enter Bill Copy & Paste?

Is there anyway to copy and paste line items when entering a single bill (using 'Vendors:Receive Items and Enter Bill')?

We have vendors that we will receive hundreds of items from at a time, with no existing Purchase Order, and we enter the items as one bill. We have the list of items, quantities, prices, etc. in spreadsheet/csv form already when the items arrive. Anyway to get those line items into a bill without having to manually enter every item one by one?

Copy & paste would be ideal. Import may work so long as it can be done in multi-user mode.

I only know of importing an iif file in single-user mode.
No copy & paste to speak of.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I'm not finding many options for this. We may need to look at a 3rd party service to integrate something for us. The iif is fine, but I've read it'll be faded out soon, and also, we can't have every user log out in order to import orders. We import far too many orders for that, and we import them as they come in, not once per day.

Thanks again for the response.

"Fading out iif?"

Please let me know where you heard this. It's hard to imagine QB eliminating this valuable feature. Although replacing with the ability to copy & paste into their screens would be a welcome replacement!

Have you looked at the Batch enter option and then selecting the split option? You can right click on the line and duplicate or copy it down. Note that you can customize the columns. I haven't used it the way that you are describing but maybe...

This isn't a feature that was eliminated, it simply was never there.

When using Batch Enter Transactions, you can paste across multiple columns with one paste. But this method only posts in summary. To enter the details, you have to use the Split Window as you mentioned. However, when using the Split Window, the paste across multiple columns no longer works. The Split Window only allows pasting into one field at a time.

Okay, let's try this again.
You mentioned that you read that QB will "fade out" the iif capability.
Please let us know where you heard this. We use it for a few multi-line j/e's - notably our monthly payroll entries - and losing it would cost us time and accuracy.
