How to correct improper deposit amount

Hi

I entered a correct invoice amount in the customer center but when I selected it in the received payments area of the customer center. Now there is a $5 credit and the deposit was shorted by $5. How do I get rid of the credit and correct deposit amount. Thanks !

Delete the deposit, that will return the funds to undeposited funds
then delete the payment

use receive payments and enter the correct amount, then use make deposits

Will I then select every invoice in receive payments then in make deposit again. Or by deleting the deposit does that delete those invoices? I'm very new to quickbooks thanks !

If you had several payments lumped together in one deposit, when you delete the deposit all payments return to undeposited funds

only delete the payment that was wrong, correct it, and then check off all payments to make the deposit
