Add On to Quickbooks

Can anyone tell me what is the best ADD on Inventory Management Software to Quickbooks? My company currently has Quickbooks 2016 and we are in need of something more advanced. I was looking at Fishbowl and Numbercruncher however I don't know what other options would be best to look at out there...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I do not use an add on for inventory, but I am curious, what version of 2016 are you using, and what is the inventory issue you have that QB is not dealing with?

Truthfully in order for anyone to recommend one add on over another, we need to know what your requirements are.

I currently have Quickbooks 2016 Premier. I had added a column in the Invoicing side for Serial Numbers for our company to add to our item numbers in which we can see and not the customer. This works with our individual item numbers however in our build assemblys this won't work because there are more then 1 items and each item of course have their own serial number. Quickbooks only allow for so many characters on this field.

I can see why you would want to know what serial numbered item is used in an assembly, but it is just not going to happen in QB or any add on I have looked into. Actually this is the first time I have seen anyone with this requirement, and I have been doing this for quite a while.

the current thinking is the inventory item is "used up" when making an assembly so no tracking is necessary.

NumberCruncher and Fishbowl both have different features and pricing. If your requirements are more specific to manufacturing and engineering Fishbowl would be a better option.

Hope that helps,
