Do I need a special program to import bank statements in an Excel file?

I am using Quickbooks Pro 2016. I go to Utilities>Import>Excel Files but it only gives me options of Customers, Vendors or Products I Sell.

What do I do about getting a bank account statement in?

Check with your bank to see what resources it offers for you to import bank data.

You may want to ask your bank how to download bank statements

Sweet. Thanks for giving me some direction where to turn.

But since I looked at all the other posts in the section and saw they were questions, I figured I was in the right spot.

Contact your bank. See what options the bank offers for downloading your banking data to QuickBooks.
