Unhappy Pro 2017 Check formatting detail problem

Recently I upgraded from QB Pro 2004 to 2017. Everything is just fine except for one minor annoyance. I use a specific company type face for all of our documents including our checks. During the check printer formatting process, I am able to specify our company type face and it all works just fine except for the numeral amount on the check which prints in an "arial" looking type face. I am aware that in the 2017 version, Intuit has eliminated the ability to print the number amount on checks in a type face of choice, but I'm hoping that someone knows a workaround to an annoyance that looks really odd on an otherwise nice looking payment check. Is there some reason that Intuit eliminated the ability to change the type face on just those numbers when they used to allow it? Thanks for any help.
