Table where do the GL entries reside?

Hello all,

I have been tasked with retrieving this data in a custom report. I am looking at the JournalEntryLine table. When I pull everything in FY2016, I get 29 million in debit/credit totals. However when I run a Transaction Detail by Account from Quickbooks, I get a completely different number - as in 163 million - for credit/debit totals.

Am I looking at the wrong table? What else should I look at?

Quickbooks Enterprise 14 by the way

I am not sure I understand just what the problem is.

The are multiple sources for General Ledger data, with General Journal entries being just one source. Because a relatively small percent of the General Ledger content normally come from General Journal entries, it is not surprising that the journal entries gives 29 million which is a subset of the 163 million.
