qb process remains active after application is closed

i have had this problem since the last update. i will open a second company, do what i need to do then close out of it and go back to working the primary company, when i need to go back into the second company qb tells me i am already logged in. so i close out of the primary company also, according to my computer i am out of both companies (task manager shows no active applications) however when i look at the processes tab in task manager it will show that qb is active twice with my name next to it.

so i have to end the processes before it will allow me to access qb again.

i seem to be the only person in my company (out of 10 users that experience this issue) qb was set up by the same person on all the computers, i think they were all done similarly. he has had a stroke and is unreachable at this time

You can Try this.
Once you are in the Company File
Go to Edit > Prefrences > General>My Prefrences> Uncheck Keep Quickbooks runnung for quick startups> Click OK.> Reboot your Computer.

Let me know if it works.
