Converting from Enterprise - what is the best way recommended? Suggestions please. Have about 12 years of old data on Enterprise - lots of trash gl accounts no longer being used. Need to get off of Enterprise due to maintenance and accounting issues.

Thinking of either: 1) converting all data to online version for one year then converting down to Pro or Premier desktop or 2) not converting and beginning from scratch on Pro or Premier

You can't export data from online to the desktop versions. You would have to export it to excel to save history.
I would suggest to start from scratch after picking a cut off date, save the history from enterprise in a pdf format so you can view it in the future.

I've been out of town and off the net, so though late maybe this will help

I would use these folks and convert the file to pro/premier
that way you have access to the past 12 years easily

then I would consider the first two utilities on this page to create a new file going forward
I am not affiliated.
