PayPal without Customer Data?

Howdy, folks.

I used the standard PayPal integration and set up the connection from PP to QBO, but I might have not done so the right way.

I really don't need to have individual invoices for each PP transaction, and the addition of a 'PayPal Bank' really confused me when it comes to how to transfer the money from one account to the other since the dollars transferred from PP (transaction amount less fees) to my business account would never match up with what the invoice shows, which is the total sale plus shipping costs.

We're mostly a B2B, and only support end user sales on the rare occasion a customer cannot find one of our dealers. I would rather deal with an aggregated number representing the month's sales at retail (not B2B), the total fees (applied as 'bank fees') and be done with it.

Bottom line, I don't want to have a boatload of end customer names in QB when I get ready to do something like create an invoice. It's just really messy that way.

Not sure I'm making sense here, but there it is.

Is there an easy way to do this?

I don't use banking downloads, and I do not have that volumn of paypal transactions any more.

Have you considered doing it manually as a summary entry daily or weekly.

Download the paypal transactions for the time period to an excel sheet. Sum the columns, for sales, fees, shipping, and sales tax

then use a sales receipt to list items to enter them all, use a generic customer, paypal.
ie

service item, sales income, $$$$
pre-paid shipping income, $$$
expense item, paypal fee, - $$ (negative amount)
etc

We typically do a summary as well; you can always get your detail from Paypal directly if needed.
