Rollback 2008 Pro from R10 to previous

Hi,

Is it possible to rollback from the latest R10 release of 2008 Pro to whatever we were on before.

I unfortunately told the admin department they should do all updates on software, not realising that would include Quickbooks, now the boss wants it all back to how it was, to "protect the accounts"

can anyone help please??
