Invoice Problem

I have to prepare an invoice containing two items: one for $168.00 and one for $135.00 total $303.00. This particular customer has a delayed credit of $447, which appears on the first line of the invoice as -$447.

When trying to save this invoice, I get an "something wrong" message that I must enter transactions greater than zero.

How can I get around this please?

Thank you
Zambuk

Well you can not. an invoice is a sale, you can not make a negative sale

List the items, and then list the delayed credit item with an amount equal to the sale, the invoice will be zero and the remainder of the delayed credit will still be on the books.

What is a delayed credit? I understand customer credit, but delayed?

I have gone through your answer, and I find it relevant and apt answer. I have also faced this type of error some time before, then I consult QuickBooks support experts and they provided me detailed steps to easily resolve the query. So, I would suggest if you have query related to Delayed credit then you can consult them. http://www.quick-books-support.com/
I have to tell you, I do not appreciate your promoting your pay for service web site to me under the guise of help within the context of this free help forum.

How the owner of this site feels about it I do not know
