close books so items can't be posted to prior year

I can't seem to find how to close the year end in QB for Mac. I know how to do it for the PC version, but can't find the way to do in the Mac version. Can anyone tell me how is is done?

Thanks

Set closing date in Mac

QuickBooks>Preferences>Users and passwords

Set the Admin password.

On the next screen, there is an option on the lower right corner to Set closing date. Click on that and enter the date and password.

This will give you what you are looking for.
