Warning - QBO Backup

It just came out in the intuit community, that there is ZERO back up of your data that you can use.

Intuit backs up the servers daily, but that is only so they can get their servers back up and running in the event of a disaster.

They have NO procedures at all that can restore your data from their back ups!

AND inventory adjust can not be deleted or edited so be damn sure you do it right.

EDIT: there is a file called a qbxml file they say you can download for "your peace of mind" as they say. Intuits knowledge-base about that file states that not all financial data is downloaded. https://qboe.custhelp.com/app/answer...up/r_id/103898
so without all info being included I do not see much peace of mind, not to mention that you can not use that file to upload to QBO

To the Mods, I think this should be a sticky

From the article:

https://qboe.custhelp.com/app/answer...up/r_id/103898

"Can only be done from a PC using Internet Explorer at this time."

From the Quickbooks Online Training Workbook for ProAdvisor Online Certification:

QuickBooks Online only supports two browsers:

Google Chrome
Mozilla Firefox

Note: It is NOT recommended that you use Internet Explorer or Safari to access QuickBooks Online

(This is from the Canadian certification course.)

This unfortunately does not work with the Canadian version of QBO - we just tried this and confirmed with support it is only for the US version.
