Question GST problem

I was in the middle of filing my GST when my computer went down. When I got it back up again, the amount of my refund had not posted to A/R but all the amounts for the period had gone from the reports so I cannot re-file it. How do I know if itwent through to the government correctly?

You best bet is to call the CRA and ask them to confirm if they received the payment.

Smile Gst

I'm afraid I cannot do that as I am just an employee and they won't tell me anything. It's not a payment either, it's a refund which is why I'm anxious. But thanks for responding.

Unhappy GST and Quickbooks

Even if the return went through to CRA it doesn't show as a receivable in QB like my previous returns. How can I get it to show correctly in the G/L? All the information disappeared when I posted and the computer went down.

Oh I thought you were asking whether cra received the return or not.

Can you redo the return? Or take a look at the gst g/l and see if there are any entries for it.

Unhappy Gst

I am unable to repeat it as the figures for that period have gone from QB. But the refund does not show. I do not know how to proceed with this to correct my books.
