Emailing Invoices through Quickbooks server

We are an Internet Service Provider. We send out about 1200 email invoices monthly through the Quickbooks server. Every month it takes hours to process these and often it dies in the middle of the process. When this happens we have to try to figure out where the process stopped and either resend all the invoices from the beginning or go in and manually edit the list (thereby losing the original list because its been edited). Just 10 feet away we have a powerful mailserver with a fat internet pipe that would be capable of sending those same 1200 invoices to our customers in about 1 minute total, IF we were able to use our own mail server. It appears that Quickbooks may be running a slow and unstable mailserver (such as MS Exchange), or the mailserver is just overloaded. It would be so nice if we could just send our email invoices through our own fast and reliable mailserver, then we would be able to keep track of what is sent, and have very good reliability and speed.
