Maximum number of checks in a deposit

I have 335 customers who pay bi-monthly by check. No cash and no credit cards. I use the preprinted deposit forms for QBooks which allow only 18 checks in a deposit. Usually I receive 30 to 80 checks at one time in the mail. I divide these up so I can use the deposit slip. The alternative is to print the double-spaced list of all the checks to accompany the deposit. However, this method does not count the number of items in the deposit. Why is the program able to count up to 18 but not higher? The bank still wants to know the number of items in the deposit. Its either 18 or count by hand - seems strange in the new millenium that this cannot be programmed.
