Blanked out / blacked out fields

Our accounting staff occasionally experience the below effects, where onscreen reports or inquiries show whole sections of blacked out fields. (Apologies if my screenshot fails to populate. New member here and unsure how to load pics. )

QB Enterprise 17.0 continues to do this on all screens, until the user restarts their PC. I searched around the forum here and on youtube, but saw very little talk about it, much less a solution.
Much obliged if anybody can throw an answer my way.

try

close QB, in task manager close all QBwin32.exe processes if any
use windows explorer to navigate to the main QB folder and run reboot.bat, then restart the computer
If there is a corrupt .dll file that will fix it

Thanks for the tip. My boss and one of my staff will give it a whirl next time it occurs. And will follow up with a blurb here on the results.
