Bill Rate

I'm looking for the capability to set custom bill rate for employees that work on various projects throughout the week that are billed at a different rate.

I thought I could set that in Bill Rate Level, but when entering the invoice, it's not pulling the custom price. Just what's setup in the service item list.

Are you using "enter time" for the employee doing the work and assigning the customer using the customer/job drop down list?

Once you set up a new billing rate level and assign it to an employee you can use the "enter time" option in the employee drop down list and enter that employee's time for each customer. When you go to create an invoice for that customer you will be notified there is unbilled time that you can add to the invoice. When you add it you should see the rate that was assigned to the employee that did the work.

If you just enter the labor directly o the invoice you will not be given the option of assigning a billing rate level to the item. (other than a manual override)
