2012 - can't save customized invoices/sales receipts

does anyone know if this is a bug and how to solve it?

I have just started using QBs for Mac 2012 and like a lot of the new features. Am trying to customize the invoice, sales receipt and estimate form but it won't let me save it. Or is saves in Layout Designer but then it is not saved in the templates in QBs. I can't work out how to import it.

I keep getting the message: "Layout Designer file size exceeded. Try smaller embedded graphics."
I even deleted the total contents of the template and tried to save a blank form but it still wouldn't save.

There definitely seems to be a bug in Layout Designer itself as it is doing other odd things related to saving things - getting stuck in places.

Does anyone have any ideas or tips? Much appreciated if so!
