Question Can I email estimate/invoices from QB Pro 99

Can someone please tell me if I can email a proposal or invoice from QuickBook Pro 99?

If I can not do it from this software, does a newer version have this capability?

Thanks in advance.

The newer versions have the Intuit Deluxe Billing feature that allows you to invoice from within the program and they charge you a monthly fee for this service. But, you can actually e-mail anything (in any version) that you can print by printing the invoice, estimate, or whatever to a PDF file and attaching the file to a regular e-mail. Your customer can open and print the attachment with the free Adobe Acrobat reader. It will appear exactly as you have created it including logos, etc.

Joey.. I need more help please!

Thank you so much for the information on printing to the PDF file, but now I have another question. I have looked all over and I can't find out where or how to print to the PDF file. Can you please walk me thru this process alittle further?

Thanking you in advance.

To create a pdf file for emailing, you will need a print driver. Here
are some links:

http://www.hotsend.com (free)
http://www.over.to/freepdf (free)
http://www.win2pdf.com/ (for Win NT, 2000, XP)
http://www.adobe.com (adobe acrobat, and online adobe to PDF)
http://www.invoy.com (Invoy for QuickBooks)
http://www.software602.com/
Try going to http://www.hotfiles.com and entering into their search box:
print to PDF

Once you have a driver installed, the rest is easy. I use WIN2PDF myself.

Cool

Gary,

Thanks for the info on Win2PDF..

I've been wanting a way around Intuit's 'On-line Billing' scheme.. even the (free) Basic plan requires you to send the emails thru their server, and the way I read the terms, they can choose to add pop-ups or imbedded advertising to your emails, if they choose. Disgusting, and unethical. Am I the only one alarmed by the direction Intuit is taking us??

Would stay away from any "Intuit pay for" scheme.

Any report can be printed using a pdf writer and then the resulting pdf file can be emailed.

refer to thread email Purchase Orders started by hfordham and last posted to on 02-10-2003
