Want to upgrade from QB Premier Non-Profit to QB Mac

A place I volunteer for runs Premier Non-Profit 2008 but does not use the Non-Profit. They do not want to buy a laptop again for just QB. Now that the data file can be converted to PC for the accountant, they will just buy a Intel Mac and shift the Power Mac G5 to the person with the OS 9.

Can we install the trial for 2011 and upgrade the db. Then transfer to Mac and use the db with QB for Mac?
