I am a volunteer treasurer for a non-profit organization. Currently I/we use Quickbooks verion 6.0 which I'm sure is a dinosaur around here. I can't quite remember the version used prior to this, but I do remember that I had to do 2 conversions before being able to use the last data to start up 6.0.

My question is: what are the next versions that were on the market, and would any conversions be necessary from version 6.0 to a newer version? OR can the newer versions use the unadjusted data from version 6.0.

This might seem silly, but I've got quite comfortable with this v 6.0, but may be upgrading soon to a newer used computer etc. Also the current computer being used has become rather unstable at times, therefore the consideration for a change in the near future.

Hi monkey56
Well if you feel comfortable and I guess have limited time why change? "If it ain't broke don't fix it"
But do you still have the original v6 software to install? I can't recollect whether its compliant with XP which your shiny new PC will have.

I have quite a collection of QB programs and in the summer I'll be going to the Yukon. From there I can send you the program and give a bill of sale for you to re-register it.
Assume this to be all legal since I am the registered owner of all.
Let me know if interested.
