I hope I can explain this correctly so someone can help me. I use Quickbooks for my husbands chiropractic office. We make a bill at the end of treatment after 6 weeks. Sometimes he needs a bill after 4 weeks which I can do, but then at the conclusion of treatment I need a final bill and I can not seem to figure out how to have a statement that has balance forward and then itemized with the total at the end. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

I am new to QB's so my reply may be a little shakey but I think that if you go to the custumer list and highlight the customer, pickt the activities submenu and then prepare statement, it will get you to the right place to prepare the statement. Then make sure you use the right dates so the statement includes all of the services that have been provided that particular customer. The statemen should then show the services provided and the payments recieved with the current balance as of the end of the period covered by the statement.

hi schlossy,
i can't really see what your core concern or requirement is, when you need statements you can access this from the 'customer' module. you can then set filters and style/type of info presented (make sure you have correct date and from/to date correct).
so lets say you raise an invoice at 4 weeks and send it out, at six weeks you then raise a further invoice for the final treatment. if you then run the statement routine it will report all outstanding transactions (unpaid) along with receipts.
if the above has not helped you could use the 'write letters' routine with a customised layout to achieve your personal needs.
another option is if you use the 'find' routine from the clients module you can export the results into a letter.
