As a wholesale distributor, we need to set up various pricing
levels for items on the following basis:

* quantity purchase
* promotional pricing
* preferred customer princing

How well can that be achieved using QuickBooks Pro 2003?

We just upgraded to QB Pro 2003 less than 7 months ago, so I don't think I can justify upgrading to current QB product or may be
switching to another accounting product.

I am currently evaluating ACTINIC for integrating QB with UPS Worldship & an e-commerce website.

Appreciate any suggestions!

Thanks,

Check out MYOB. 6 price levels, all of which can be further discounted by class or item. All levels, discounts, etc. stored and applied by individual customer.

MYOB was sales organization oriented fro the start, where QB was a basic accounting package that has been added on to and added on to, etc. Probably no room left for an additonal bunch of price fields and detailed customer records.

QB is a good accounting package, a lousy sales / order entry / sales management package. MYOB has better inventory, as well.
